I’m always amazed by the creative ways Rotary clubs raise funds—dinners, wine tastings, fun runs, and raffles. Recently, I joined the Rotary Club of Winnipeg Satellite for a night of celebratory music.

The event was in support of The Oak Table. The Winnipeg charity provides hospitality support and advocacy for people who are homeless, income insecure, on social assistance, living with mental health issues, physical disabilities, or addictions. Each year, they serve thousands of meals and provide showers in a safe, welcoming space.

I had a front-row seat to Humberto Datas and The Ecco Singers with Kristina Ellis. All are dedicated to making a meaningful impact by supporting causes like this one.

On a cold winter evening, generosity and music warmed our hearts.
