In October, I had the pleasure of visiting a few Rotary Clubs, and it was inspiring to see the breadth and impact of Rotary’s work!
At the Rotary Club of Brandon and the Brandon Sunset Club, we explored the Book Palace—a bustling hub where volunteers sort and organize thousands of books for two annual book sales. These sales raise thousands of dollars for local community projects. We also stopped by the Creation Nation Makerspace, a fantastic space filled with tools and equipment, where creators can craft high-quality, handmade goods.
Brandon is home to some amazing parks, too! Rotary has helped bring the community a Skateboard Park, a world-class Baseball Park, and the Riverbank Park with a BBQ shelter and accessible playground, making these spots ideal for all ages and abilities.
In Prince Albert, I got to experience the Rotary Trail, a beautiful loop around the city that offers a scenic route for walkers, joggers, and anyone on wheels. I also toured the Rotary Museum of Police and Corrections, as well as three seniors’ centers, all made possible through the generosity of Rotary members.
Seeing these places firsthand really drove home how much Rotary contributes to vibrant, inclusive communities everywhere!
